On Left Wing Activism and Building a Mass Movement

As the unrest continues across America, some principled individuals on the left have begun demanding more from Democratic politicians than simply opposing Trump. In fact, these leftists want to replace Democrats with an entirely new left wing party. Sadly for them however, I do not see any high chance for them to succeed. The reason for this in my view is that what truly animates the masses in America to engage in politics is not any concern over abstract political theory but rather mere tribal political identity. I.E. partisanship.
