Seth Lowman, founder of SlowmanJazz Studio, shares some highlights from some of his past performances with the MSU One O’clock Jazz Ensemble in Bozeman, Montana. Says Seth: “Having graduated from Montana State University in 2020, one of the most significant things I miss is performing in Jazz ensembles. I especially miss playing with the One O’clock Jazz band because while we performed plenty of classic Jazz works by the greats like Count Basie, Duke Ellington, etc., I also got to learn so much about the more contemporary side of Jazz, an area I had barely dipped my toes into before joining One O’clock. This miniseries, (A Look Back), gives some insight into my journey with this ensemble, and I hope it pleases your ears more than it does mine, as the recording quality is not the greatest.
