Blunt: Critical Aid for Schools, Workers, Health Care Included in HEALS Act

Today, U.S. Senator Roy Blunt (Mo.), Chairman of the Senate Appropriations Subcommittee on Labor, Health and Human Services, Education, and Related Agencies (Labor/HHS), spoke on the Senate floor to highlight provisions in the HEALS Act focused on getting students back into the classroom and people back into the workforce as safely and quickly as possible.
Blunt also noted that the bill includes the funding needed to improve testing and speed up the development of vaccines and treatments. Click here for more details on the Labor/HHS priorities included in the bill.
Building on a background as a public servant, university president, and teacher, Roy Blunt was elected to the United States Senate in 2010.
Senator Blunt serves as the Chairman of the Senate Republican Policy Committee and as the Chairman of the Senate Rules Committee. He also serves on the Senate Appropriations Committee; the Senate Commerce, Science and Transportation Committee; the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence; and the Senate Rules Committee. He is also the Chairman of the Appropriations Subcommittee on Labor, Health and Human Services, and Education.
