As a keen photographer and video maker I like to take a good range of cameras kit with me on my travels and a shoulder bag is not suitable as it gets in the way and I like to keep both hands free when walking. For tme, a backpack is really what is needed. A normal rucksack will not do as it does not offer sufficient protection to my gear and finding particular items quickly can be difficult.

This new camera rucksack from Eono goes a long way to answering my needs. It is strong and rugged enough to offer decent protection with adjustable interior padding to custom fit to any piece of equipment and with the back unzipped all the items within are immediately visible and accessible.

The rucksack arrived in a just a plastic bag with the rucksack and separate detachable plastic rain cover inside. No instructions or paperwork was included and none needed.

The 0.97kg backpack is 46x15x32cm in size and is made from water resistant qualified polyester material, (whatever that is) but feels tough and robust. It features numerous inside and outside pockets and pouches including one in the top padded flap that can accommodate a 15.6″ laptop and an iPad. It has a total stiorage capacity of 15.6L . All the internal dividers are detachable, customisable and held in place by velcro. anti theft It also has a small external pocket that can be used for a credit card or small instant access items as well as several external mesh pockets suitable for water bottles or other small objects. The backpack is designed for weighty loads and has well padded shoulder straps as well as a retaining chest strap and padded carry handle on top. On the sides are external straps to allow a medium sized tripod to be secured. Along the back is a reflective strip to keep you visible at night.

The heart of the bag is the large padded area where the camera gear is stored. This is protected by a padded external flap which opens up fully to reveal space sufficient for a couple of DSLR camera bodies, flash and several lenses. However, do not expect to get anything larger than a 70-210 zoom in there.

The flexible design and customability means the bag can also be used as general travel bag for holidays or business trips.

The current Amazon price of £79.98 is not the cheaoest out there but this is a quality piece of kit and that is always worth paying more for.
