Airborne Museum - Sainte-Mère-Église - Band of Brothers.

The Airborne Museum can be found in the heart of Sainte-Mère-Église
it contains a collection of over 4500 items from the second world war with a particular focus on items used by the paratroopers who fought during the battle of Normandy.
The museum consists out of 4 big buildings, the WACO glider Building, the C47 building and one of my favorite parts of the museum, Operation Neptune.

Operation Neptune shows the nighttime embarkation on D-Day set out from a C-47 aircraft, and fighting trough the Normandy country side.

The museum is a mix of modern and classic displays.
And I would highly recommend going to this museum, but beware that you have to pay for parking and it can be easily overlooked.
