Lawn Fertilizer is FOOD for your Yard! | Cool Season Lawn - Part 4 | 2020/27

Applying Lawn Fertilizer is one of the most important steps. It is now the middle of Summer here in the Pacific Northwest and this is Part 4 of my Cool Lawn Series. These videos are intended to show the steps of prepping your lawn in the Springs over the course of a few days or a week. In my case, it took about six weeks total. I defiantly was behind the curve when it came to the application of the fertilizers, iron, and humic acid. It will take a little longer for the lawn to react to the nutrients because of the heat, but it will come around. Don’t be me, get it done early!

I started by applying Scott’s Triple Action with has a nitrogen supplement, a weed controller, and a pre-emergent. If you are over seeding in this step, or plan on. Do not use any products that have a pre-emergent, use a regular weed and feed or lawn food.

The next step was adding an iron supplement, this is extremely effective in greening up the lawn without adding a bunch of extra fertilizer. The awesome part about this product is that it cannot be over-used or burn the lawn!

The next step is to ply humic acid. This product acts as a supplement in that it encouraged the extra absorption of the other products into the plants, so that they will take advantage of all the product you have applied! A small sacrifice for a larger benefit!

The last step was to water everything in for twenty minutes, then normal watering for the next few weeks!
