Panzer III Ausf. N SKI Schienen Ketten Fahrzeug.

Two or Three SK 1 prototypes were converted from
Panzer III Ausf L tanks during 1942 and 43.

The suspension was re-configured so as to allow the railway bogie wheels to be retracted into the belly for normal cross-country performance.

The drive train was modified so that the rail bogies were driven by the tank engine. The speed on the railway track would go up to 100km.

These SK 1 tanks would be used for anti-partisan operations.
