Plants vs Zombies 2 - Penny's Pursuit - Chomper - June/July 2022

This quest focuses on the Premium (Money) plant Chomper and was offered between June 29, 2022 and July 6, 2022.

Chomper is a member of the Enforce-Mint family.
Costs 150 Sun - (125 at level 4 and 100 at level 7)
When a zombie gets close, Chomper can swallow it whole.
Chomper can gobble two (2) zombies at once.
Zombies which can not be gobbled take 200 damage.
Chomper needs 17 seconds to digest zombies. (-1 per level until level 5 where digestion time drops to 10 seconds).

Chomper is an example of something within the gaming industry known as power creep. Power creep is when the power level creeps up over time, meaning newer items will be more powerful and desirable than older items. We see that here with Chomper.

About two (2) years ago, the Seedium plant Olive Pit was released.
• Olive Pit costs 25 more Sun than Chomper, which is the only drawback.
• Both plant's digestion rate is about the same.
• Olive Pit's capacity is slightly better than Chomper's. (Olive Pit can hold 1 more zombie than Chomper at certain levels.)
• Chomper is vulnerable while digesting whereas Olive Pit is not. (Zombies can walk over Olive Pit when the pit is full.)
• Chomper will be devoured by chicken and weasels. Olive Pit will not.
• Olive Pit feels like it should be planted in columns 7, 8 and 9. Chomper does not feel that brave. 😊️
• Every seven (7) seconds, Olive Pit will spew out a puddle of olive oil which slows down zombies for six (6) seconds. Chomper has no secondary effect - besides a visually pleasing burping animation. 😜️

So is there really any reason to play Chomper over Olive Pit?

If you have purchased Chomper, go ahead and level this plant up. Premium seeds are difficult to obtain.

Do not think 67 gravestones appeared during the level.
