Shawn Luchtel considers himself a very conservative hunter. Vary rarely does he get aggressive when it comes to hunting whitetails. He likes to stay back and study their patterns before moving in to avoid spooking mature bucks. This time of year, the bucks typically aren't moving far, but sometimes luck is just on your side! While hunting a permitter stand trying to scout and potentially shoot a doe, Shawn has one of his target buck show up when he least expected. The "Split Brow 9" worked his way into only 12 yards before Shawn made a perfect shot. He didn't go far!
