Legion Veteran Banner Project Needing More Applications - June 29, 2022 - Micah Quinn

The Lethbridge Legion is asking residents to submit an application for the Salute Our Veterans Banner project. The initiative will showcase veterans and their stories on light pole banners that will be displayed across the city. That will include the airport, City Hall, the legion, and the old train station. Glenn Miller, from the Veteran Banner Committee, says the project has filled applications for around half of the 91 spots. He also says 150 words are needed for a short biography to help bring that veteran to life through a special banner.

The deadline to submit an application for the project is July 15th. The banners will be displayed starting October 1st and will run through Remembrance Day.
