Boyd Mitsubishi Evolution X @ PPIHC 2021, Practice @ Bottomless Pit

Derek Boyd's deceptively quick 2008 Evolution completed the ice-shortened '21 Pike's Peak International Hillclimb in 7:30.028, placing 21st overall and fourth in Unlimited. Again, the downforce generation are probably what landed the car in Unlimited. Note how the extensive air management acts on these cars as they negotiate the weird climbing right-handed gully shot at Bottomless (named for the drop-off on the other side of the big stone wall - next stop, Manitou Springs!).
