At that time, intelligence reported on nuclear strike plans hatched by the US against the Soviet Union. As a result, the USA, the UK, Germany, and Canada attracted 12 Nobel Prize scientists who were creating an atomic bomb.

In response, Stalin ordered the development of a nuclear bomb. Of course, the project was implemented in the strictest secrecy. Decades later, the declassified top-secret files about the USSR's atomic bomb revealed many interesting facts about scientists' work.
