Hand painted Sake Bottle | Cherry Blossoms | Bottle Art | Upcycling

I got this Sake bottle from the Land of the Rising Sun in 2019. I especially like the bottle because it has a semi-matte finish and frosted effect which is easy to sketch and paint on. I haven't yet experienced the centuries-old tradition of Hanami (cherry-blossom viewing) and I look forward to it but when I was thinking of what design or motiff to paint on it, cherry blossoms immediately came to mind, and its more fitting since it is the most cherished and National flower of Japan.
The meaning of Sakura/Cherry blossoms in Japan runs deep, making it a cultural icon revered around the world not just for its overwhelming beauty, but for its enduring expression of life, death and renewal.
They say, "A Mother is like a flower, each one beautiful and unique." I dedicate this piece to my Mother and to all the wonderful moms around the world. HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!

Project Materials: Empty Sake Bottle, Sakura Acrylic Colors, Modge Podge Dishwasher-Safe/Gloss coating.
