People have claimed that the AR15/M16 has constantly evolved thus keeping it modern. However, if you look back at early AR15's you'll see they evolved very quickly due to experiences with the M16 in Vietnam and by the 1970's the rifles were mostly unchanged internally through modern day rifles like the A4 or M4. We take a look at the rapid changes that took place in the 1965, 1967 and 1977 SP1 AR15's then see if a 1965 era bolt carrier group works in a more modern AR15A2.

If you carry a gun for personal defense, you need to be protected from lawsuits or criminal charges should you need to use your firearm defensively. I recommend USCCA: https://tracking.deltadefense.com/aff_c?offer_id=94&aff_id=18652
