Here is Everything You NEED To Add Object Recognition To Home Security Cameras. I asked you about a month ago whether you'd be interested in a step-by-step guide on how to add object recognition to home security with push notifications. The response was overwhelming, so I had to do my best.

I flashed my "YI 1080 indoor" security camera with custom firmware allowing local MQTT connection. These cameras are able to detect movement, so I used this feature to send a message through MQTT to Home Assistant. Automation then triggers Amazon Rekognition that analyses the images identifying objects, if one of the objects I'm interested in is detected, Home Assistant sends us notifications on our smart devices.
