Narcissism or Narcissistic personality disorder (NDP) is an extreme form self importance that can lead to an inability to empathize with others and see things from their perspective. It can also cause people to feel superior to others, making them think they're entitled to special treatment.

And if you were raised by a narcissistic parent, you’ve likely developed some negative beliefs that will sabotage your adult life if you're not aware of them.
