One of the first songs we wrote together as band, and our first "epic" piece. Originally released on our demo, Embers, it now returns with new life for our debut album, COSMOSIS! Enjoy!

Written prior to the pandemic, with the world already showing increased signs of strain and division, we wrote this song that speaks to the cycle of life and the hope of our unrealized potential as we wrestle for stability amidst the the constant pull of time.

In facing the fracturing of our times, and break down of our own bodies over time, we realize the highest import of realizing our highest visions here and now, while we may yet still make a difference.

and the burdens are lifted
from the shoulders of souls
broken down and neglected,
and the specters of ghosts,
grown and worn out humans
dissolve into mirages

by our transgressions humanity is scorned,

-extensions, born out of this surface
and the depths of all history still boiling here beneath it,
as brutal as beautiful, thus, all the more confusing;
yet, perfectly placed is our position here;
so, why are we refusing
this place, this moment, this time?

My God, you are alive!
You gotta own it, dial in, hone it,
regardless of impediments,
in the face of all hesitance,
etch it in stone, and trace it in the sediment,
beyond belief, you’ve gotta know it’s self-evident
-the surest way...
