Dormant pruning has encouraged flowering. Planting flowers to attract pollinators has - well, attracted pollinators. The end result? More fruit on the branches of our pear trees than those branches can support - so it is time to thin the fruit, to prevent damage to the trees (and a look at what can happen if this work is not done in time!)
