Speeding up and slowing down video is something you are likely to need when editing videos. Maybe you are making part of your video slower to capture some detail, or maybe you are speeding it up for dramatic effect? Whichever the reason it is important to know how to achieve this.

This video shows you how to slow down or speed up video clips in Shotcut. It is simple to do and easy to understand. The basic steps are:
1. Select the video clip
2. Click properties
3. In the Speed attribute change the number
- Less than 1x to slow down
- Greater than 1x to speed up
