LAS DIVAS of the #CattleyaAlliance - Bifoliates... notorious for dumping their roots and throwing a tantrum in the pot. I do not have clear pots, I look and see what the orchid is doing on the surface to guesstimate if there is an issue in the pot. It is not always possible to determine that there is a problem until the new growth matures. The first growth of the season, has certainly caught my attention, but I had to wait until I saw signs of new roots, before even thinking about intervening and checking the root system. No way was I going to risk unpotting this cattleya until I was not 100% certain that I have back up roots on the go, in case this orchid does throw a tantrum after I intervene. Let's have a look!!
