The Venezuelan president has visited the Islamic Republic. Why would this be a big deal? The Western media has said two sanctioned countries getting together is not such a smart thing.

That is exactly the point though: how two sanctioned countries, aside from being two mega oil producers, have gotten together to push back and resist against US imperialism and sanctions.
