Lethbridge Dragon Boat Festival Set To Sail Into Weekend - June 24, 2022 - Micah Quinn

The Dragon Boat Festival isn’t your typical boat racing event. It features unique dragon head designs on the front of the boats. The event is celebrating its 20th anniversary in Lethbridge. The festival was started by a group of women who battled breast cancer and came together to create a dragon boat team. Diane Randell, the chair of the festival, says 48 teams will compete at the event this year with 19 of them from western Canada.

The Dragon Boat Festival starts tonight at 6pm and runs until Sunday evening.
