Target Shooting and My Scope Sighting Blunder | In the Field

Summer 2020 - After many rounds and a sore shoulder, it seems my aim has gotten worse. Mounting my cost effective Tasco scope on my shotgun turns out to be far more difficult than it should be. Though, had I read the instruction manual, my boneheaded blunder could have been easily avoided. Just as it is with many people, God's instruction manual for life (The Bible) stays tucked away and unutilized. Then, just as I was, people are left scratching their heads as to why their lives aren't going the way they had planned.

From a young age Derek has always loved the outdoors, especially hunting the family farm he grew up on. He'd spend his free time hunting or watching outdoor television. Though it seemed to him that all mainstream hunting shows were either secular or pagan. The one true God of all creation was absent. All outdoorsmen loved the creation but they didn't know the God who made it. Feeling the need to call this nation of hunters and outdoorsmen back to the Lord, In the Field was born.

In the Field is a faith based, online, hunting show. We tell the story of Derek's hunts through the words of scripture. We demonstrate how the Bible is the living Word, applicable to the hunt and, more importantly, essential for our life journey. From death to life, through Jesus Christ.
Our Mission Is...
To make disciples of this nation of hunters and outdoorsmen and to honor God.

"Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit"-Matthew 28:19

"For since the creation of the world God's invisible qualities--his eternal power and divine nature--have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse."-Romans 1:20
