I am very much looking forward to connecting with you and seeing how I can support your goals.
📍 Come with us through Episode 3: Trolley Square! Kimo will take us through the Trolley Center in Santee and tell us what amenities are offered there.

Santee Trolley Square… known for many residents to walk around the shopping center to hit the 44 local retail stores, restaurants, and small businesses. Can you imagine the total amount of steps someone takes when they enjoy browsing the selections here?
Seems fitting then that Santee Trolley Square also provided the pavement for the 50K Race Walk National Championship in January 2020. That’s right, “Race Walk,” you know the thing people do in order to get to a shorter checkout line that’ll maybe save them fractions of a minute from their overall shopping time? It’s an actual olympic event where the winners of Santee would move on to be hopefuls of the later cancelled 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games. Santee Trolley Square officially has it all!

The shopping center provides stores for any necessity that one may be looking for. The anchor stores of the plaza include: a Target where you can get groceries for your list while also browsing their goods; a massive 24 Hour Fitness, so you can get that pump at any time no matter how busy your schedule looks; Famous Footwear, DSW Shoe Warehouse, or Old Navy when it’s time to find a new look; find new household decor at Bed Bath and Beyond or Pier 1 Imports; or just looking for a quiet place to grab a coffee and find a good read, Barnes and Noble offers that serenity.

The diverse amenities included at Trolley Square are appropriate to eat for any occasion. Stop by Starbucks or Einstein Bros. Bagels and bring your co-workers a fresh bagel and cup of joe to start off their day right. On the go for lunch? Grab a double entree at Panda Express, a burrito or bowl at Chipotle, or enjoy your healthy array of super foods at Everbowl. Meeting family or friends to watch the big game? You can choose between Oggi’s Pizza and Brewing for an awesome happy hour, or enjoy the 20 plus years of perfecting local barbecue at Phil’s BBQ. Trust us the wait is always worth it.
Now what do we have missing here? Breakfast, lunch, dinner, oh that’s right DESSERT!
Need a scoop or two with some of your favorite toppings? Enjoy a seat in the amphitheatre after you grab your favorite flavor from the Cold Stone. Or even get your own custom cake for someone’s birthday, graduation, or just because at the local bakery Nothing Bundt Cakes.

Santee Trolley Square originally opened in the summer of 1995, where it functioned as the end of the East Line (now called the Green Line) of the Trolley System. This Metropolitan Transit System gives Santee residents the ability to park at Trolley Square and head to any sporting event at San Diego State, the Mission Valley Stadium, or all the way downtown for a Padres day/night game at Petco Park. The tracks also connect to the many other shopping center/smalls and scenic destinations like, Old Town, Little Italy, and so much more!

Now heading back east, the trolley line makes for a great commute to work at the stores offered at Trolley Square. And the plaza makes for a great area to neighbor San Diego Christian College.
The campus became neighbors to Trolley Square in 2014. The campus is just made up of five buildings that include an athletics annex, and residential apartments. This private school founded in 1970, is continuing to grow and offers Bachelors and Masters in both Arts and Sciences and also teaching credentials.
With the retail stores, restaurants, and other small businesses, Trolley Square provides students with the many amenities a larger college or university offers.

As the MTS trolley system continues to grow, Santee Trolley Square is looking to expand a bit of its own. With future plans to create a movie theatre, hotel, and a few other goodies to the empty lots. Santee Trolley Square is becoming more of a destination for others to enjoy rather than just residents to do all their shopping. So stay on the lookout at “shopsanteetrolleysquare.com” for any news, future events, and so much more!
