The US Supreme Court has overturned Roe vs Wade, returning abortion law to individual states

The US Supreme Court has overturned Roe v Wade, removing federal abortion protections and placing the responsibility for legalizing or banning the procedure upon individual states, in a decision handed down Friday.

To be clear, abortion has not been banned outright. Abortion legislation has been taken from the federal government and returned to the individual states to exercise their individual, sovereign rights and make their own legislation once more. From there, individual states will have the right to ban or allow abortion.
