Manchester United academy scout and Dr Amy Whitehead is a Reader in Sport Psychology and Coaching at Liverpool John Moores University

Danielle has worked as an academic across 3 higher education institutions within the field of Performance Analysis in Sport for the last 13 years. She is currently the Programme Leader for the MSc Football Coaching and Analysis Programme at UCFB across both their UK campuses (Manchester and London). Alongside her academic role, Danielle has worked as a practitioner in the fields of Performance Analysis and also a Scout within elite level football. Her roles have included working for clubs such as Fleetwood Town, Bolton Wanderers FC, Shrewsbury Town, Tranmere Rovers before moving to her current role with Manchester United as an academy scout

Dr Amy Whitehead is a Reader in Sport Psychology and Coaching at Liverpool John Moores University. Amy's research and applied practice focuses on understanding athlete and coach cognition as it occurs during performance, and in turn improving thought processes during performance. Amy specializes in the use of Think Aloud protocol to understand this cognition and has developed the Think Aloud programme, which is a coach development programme to support coaches to be better reflective practitioners. Amy is a BPS accredited sport and exercise psychologist and has worked for organisations such as St. Helen’s RFC, the FA, Professional league and non league football and European Tour Golfers. Amy has also conducted consultation projects for UK Coaching and England Netball.
