JESUS, THE MESSIAH & ETERNAL KING Mathew 7:16-27
• Matt 7:16-20 We are not to be judges, but we are to look for fruit. The fruit reveals the root. The fruit shows the nature. It is impossible for a mango tree to produce orange fruits. The fruit we are to look for is not flawless, because we are all full of flaws and shortcomings ourselves. No, the issue is not flawlessness, but fruitfulness. The tree that has a lot of leaves but no real fruit is going to be dealt with severely when it is hewn down and cast into the fire. Remember that only good trees bear good fruits and only bad trees bear bad fruits. The two cannot be crossed.

• Matt. 7:21-23 Jesus exposed those people who sounded religious but had no personal relationship with him. On "judgment day" only our relationship with Christ—our acceptance of him as Savior and our obedience to him—will matter. Many people think that if they are "good" people and say religious things, they will be rewarded with eternal life. In reality, faith in Christ is what will count at the judgment.

• Matt. 7:24-27 The two lives Jesus compares at the end of the Sermon on the Mount have several points in common: they both build, they both hear Jesus' teaching, and they both experience the same set of circumstances in life. The difference between them isn't caused by ignorance but by one ignoring what Jesus said. Externally, their lives may look similar; but the lasting, structural differences will be revealed by the storms of life. The immediate differences in your life when you follow Jesus may not be obvious, but eventually they will turn out to affect even your eternal destiny. To what degree does your life reflect the directions Jesus gave in this sermon?

Personal Supplication
Father in the name of Jesus, help me to me true to You, myself and everyone that is around me. Let Your word take root in me and make my life's foundation stronger IJMN! Matt 7:24-25
Parable of the Two Builders Luke 6:47–49 24 “Therefore whoever hears these sayings of Mine, and does them, I will liken him to a wise man who built his house on the rock:
25 and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it did not fall, for it was founded on the rock.

Daily Protection Covenant Declaration
Because I dwell in the secret place of the most High, I shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.
I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust.
Surely he shall deliver me from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence.
He shall cover me with his feathers, and under his wings shall I trust: his truth shall be my shield and buckler.
I shall not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day;
Nor for the pestilence that walks in darkness; nor for the destruction that wastes at noonday.
A thousand shall fall at my side, and ten thousand at my right hand; but it shall not come nigh me.
Only with my eyes shall I behold and see the wicked rewarded.

Because I have made the LORD, which is my refuge, even the most High, my habitation;
There shall no evil befall me neither shall any plague come nigh my dwelling.
For God shall give his angels charge over me, to keep me in all my ways.
They shall bear me up in their hands, lest I dash my foot against a stone.
I shall tread upon the lion and adder: the young lion and the dragon shalt I trample under feet.
Because I have set my love upon God, therefore will He deliver me: He will set me on high, because I have known His name.
I shall call upon Him, and He will answer me: He will be with me in trouble; He will deliver me, and honour me.

With long life will God satisfy me, and shew me His salvation.
So shall it be for me and my household today and forever, Amen and Amen!
