Passing The Faith Along

2 Corinthians 12:12-14

1. A divine responsibility to the next generation.
• Faith will not be caught without being systematic with our children.
• Teach faith as provision for life rather than “dead history”
• Faith should be passed as a lifestyle.

2. Moses and Joshua
• Moses felt compelled to give hi reason for giving final lessons. (Deut. 6:6-9)
• Joshua instructed members from each tribe to take a stone from the river, later making them into a monument.
• The stones became a memorial left to the next generations.

3. Barnabas and Paul
• Barnabas became Saul’s advocate. He brought Paul to Antioch and “set him up” to receive the call of God.
• Without Barnabas, there would be no Paul, the Apostle.

4. Application
• Consider the importance of passing the faith along to your children.
• Create a plan and make it a plan that fits your family and their needs.
• Do it today!
