Sunday Longplay Challenge - Actraiser (SNES) - Nintendo Power Trading Card Challenge (Low Level Run)

This week on a special Challenge edition of Sunday Longplay, I'm exploring the idea I pitched in my community page with a challenge printed on the back of one of the Power Challenge Trading Cards that Nintendo Power Magazine used to print back in the early 1990s. This challenge takes place in the Super Nintendo game Actraiser, which is one of the first games I ever played on my channel 10 years ago. The challenge is a low-level run, completing the game at as low of a level as possible. The lowest possible level at which you can complete the game is level 10, since it won't let you into Northwall at a lower level than that.

Actraiser was a launch title for the SNES that blended together two entirely different genres of games: hack-and-slash action and city-building simulation. This is a combination that you normally wouldn't think would work together, but this game made it work. The premise of the game is that you basically get to play God! God (known in the US version as The Master due to censorship of religious themes back in the day) had his strength sapped after a battle with Satan (known in the US version as Tanzra) and must regain it by slaying Tanzra's generals in 6 different areas allowing people to inhabit those areas and then rebuilding the cities. Once all 6 generals are dead, the way to the final battle with Tanzra himself appears.
