Good evening, I’m still reporting on the coup.

With the J6 Committee of Trump Haters busying themselves with trying to prove that the attack on the nation’s capitol building on Jan. 6, 2021, the Capitol Police were debunking one of their pet conspiracy theories – that Republican Barry Loudermilk of Georgia the day before had given a congressional tour to a group of tourists, that was really a disguised surveillance and reconnaissance operation for what was going to take place the next day.

In other words, the Desperados are trying to construct a theory that the attack on the Capitol on Jan. 6 was part of a grand conspiracy – a coup d’état - led by Donald Trump to regain power, and Rep. Loudermilk was just playing his assigned role as one of the conspirators.

Well, the Capitol Police Chief, J. Thomas Manger put his foot down yesterday, saying unequivocally after studying the surveillance footage from all angels inside the building, that Rep. Loudermilk was just doing a typical constituent service of showing a bunch of hometown folks some of the many interesting things to be found in the nation’s capital building.

Chief Manger wrote in a Monday letter to Rep. Rodney Davis (R-IL), the ranking Republican on the House Administration Committee:

"We train our officers on being alert for people conducting surveillance or reconnaissance, and we do not consider any of the activities we observed as suspicious,”

Rosponding to the accusations against Loudermilk made by the J6 Committee, Rep. Claudia Tenny, (R-NY), who spent time working in Communist Yugoslavia early in her career told Just the News:

"All I can think of is this is a Soviet-style propaganda trial, like a show trial. They put this tape together using propaganda, selected words and clauses cut and pasted to smear the people they want to smear and to get the outcome [they want]."

Rep. Doug Collins, (R-GA0, who played a role in debunking the Russia collusion narrative mounted by Hillary Clinton to smear President Trump, said that Democrats have reached the political limits of the proverbial boy-cry-wolf tale:

"I'm wondering how many of these political writers — The New York Times Washington Post, all these folks — are actually lining up to give the retractions? ...Let's just be honest. They buy any narrative they can to impugn conservative congressmen [and women], to malign Donald Trump...

“And they're willing to destroy lives, you know, really to do it without actually investigating, without reporting."

Chief Davis’s letter concludes:

“There is no evidence that Rep. Loudermilk entered the U.S. Capitol with this group on Jan. 5, 2021.”

I’m still reporting from just outside the citadel of world freedom. Good day.
