Gunsmiths of America - Feat. Zeb Gunmaking - The Ready Room Ep. 17

This episode kicks off a mini series within The Ready Room podcast called "Gunsmiths of America". The point of this mini series is to promote the Gunsmithing and Gunmaking trade. Many people believe that the trade is dead but this is far from the truth. We will be bringing on many Gunsmiths or Gunmakers to show everyone that the trade is alive, there are a variety of people involved in the trade, and now is as good a time as ever to get involved if it interests you!

Zeb Gunmaking is the first guest in this mini series. Zeb is, at the time of this recording, the apprentice of an American Custom Gunmakers Guild member. She went to school for Gunsmithing and after graduating became the apprentice of a Gunmaker with 40 years of experience. She has been learning how to shape stocks, work on receivers and barrels, proper finishing techniques and her work shows. Zeb is evidence that you don't have to be an old man to get involved in the Gunmaking trade. She is also evidence that hard work and dedication REALLY pay off, as her finished work is worthy of admiration.
