During a committee hearing on the Jan. 6, 2021, attack on the U.S. Capitol, former White House lawyer Eric Herschmann is heard on pre-recorded video describing a call he had with attorney John Eastman where he recounts telling Eastman that he should be talking about an “orderly transition” and that he’s “going to need” a good criminal defense lawyer.
