CFN Editor-in-Chief Brian McCall and His Excellency Bishop Athanasius Schneider, auxiliary bishop of Astana Kazakhstan, conduct a wide ranging discussion of the Springtime of Vatican II that seems never to have arrived. As part of this discussion His Excellency describes the removal of God from the central place in the liturgy and the need to replace the Man centered liturgies of today with ones turned toward God. The conversation is inspired by two recently published books (by Sophia Institute Press): The Springtime that Never Came: In conversation with Paweł Lisicki (available at https://www.sophiainstitute.com/products/item/the-springtime-that-never-came) and The Catholic Mass: Steps to Restore the Centrality of God in the Liturgy (available at https://www.sophiainstitute.com/products/item/the-catholic-mass).
