Friends or Codependents? Bear Food. (SERIES PART 3 OF 4)

Many authors have spoken on the idea that you become the average of the people you hang out with the most.

I don’t disagree with this notion. The statistics largely prove it with a few exceptions.

One of the huge problems that exists in our society is codependent relationships.

Codependency is a behavioral condition in a relationship where one person enables another person's addiction, poor mental health, immaturity, irresponsibility, or under-achievement. Among the core characteristics of codependency is an excessive reliance on other people for approval and a sense of identity.

If you don’t believe me, go observe a bar on a Friday night where millions of people go to find “happiness” when in fact all they are finding is the death of brain cells and increased shame.

We call these types of friendship “bear bait.”

Ditch them immediately and fill your life with people who understand the fundamental principle of all relationships; to encourage each other to become the greatest-versions-of-each-other.

This is what life is about! In a flash you will understand that you are here to love and be loved.
