With Kamala Harris more or less acting as the de facto future leader of the Democratic Party establishment, and as someone with a very good chance of being the party’s next presidential candidate in 2024, it's important to closely examine her background and political career to determine what kind of impact she will have on America, both positive and negative.

On one hand, she will be America’s first female, first Black, and first South Asian Vice President. On the other hand, she brings with her a very controversial prosecutorial record as District Attorney of San Francisco and as Attorney General of California.
