Seven Clark County Jail inmates test positive for COVID-19

The Clark County Jail today confirmed seven inmates have tested positive for COVID-19. The Sheriff’s Office says the infected inmates were all from the same housing unit. The cases were discovered after one inmate tested positive, and testing was done on the rest of the population in that housing unit. All affected inmates are now in a negative air flow section of the jail. The department also confirmed that four staff members have tested positive for COVID-19 over the past two weeks and are currently off work until cleared by their doctors.
