Releasing Fiyah -Euthanasia of a long time Pack Member: what's it like, how it happens, what I saw

Fiyah was the eldest canine companion with me almost a decade. At 160# he was trim in body, and of a loving, sound mind. His body had suffered from issues with his legs and in several ways he outlived his vessel or, his body.

He has "transitioned" with The Ancestors, my son, one of my best friends Charles and in the last two plus years.

It is difficult to initiate euthanasia "putting a dog down" and you are wanting to be sure it is the absolute right choice, that you gave his life your best and that you exhausted all options.

I want to share with you - I have interrupted the flow of having intended to do our Step 3 next, detoxification, but this last week (strong) I wanted every minute with Fiyah while he was here in his vehicle (his body) and of course, you have some anxiety, whether mild or high, particularly as you bring in the Veterinarian.

I would like to share this story with you from my heart - for it may benefit you in some way in your life.
