Russia tested the Sarmat intercontinental ballistic missile under President Putin's supervision.

Russian President Vladimir Putin watched the training launch of the Sarmat intercontinental ballistic missile via video link. The head of state congratulated the leadership of the Russian Ministry of Defense and specialists on the successful testing of the missile system. The new missile system "Sarmat" has the highest tactical and technical characteristics and is able to overcome all modern means of anti-missile defense. It has no analogues in the world and will not be for a long time. The rocket was launched at the Plesetsk test cosmodrome in the Arkhangelsk region. Training warheads of the rocket arrived at the Kura training ground on the Kamchatka Peninsula. The tasks of the test were completed in full.
