Bio of Raymond
Dr. Raymond Obomsawin holds a MSc.and a PhD with concentrations in health science and human ecology. He supported public policy development as a researcher and advisor and has served in leadership and advisory roles for health organizations serving Indigenous peoples in North America. His international work included appointments as Manager of Overseas Operations for CUSO and Evaluation Analyst and later Senior Advisor on Indigenous Knowledge at the Canadian International Development Agency. Dr. Obomsawin has advised senior decision-makers in the public sector on various health, education, agriculture, nutrition, agro-forestry, and environmental projects. He has produced over 85 research papers and professional publications.
