Thanksgiving Is Christian? Rapture/Many Called but Few are Chosen? Witnessing Tips

Learning something new every day. I didn't know the history of Thanksgiving and how amazing God's providence was with an English speaking, Christian Indian! Could the rapture happen on Thanksgiving? It sure seems like it is possible. The end of a pregnancy in the latest of days would be taking us up to Thanksgiving from the Trump Peace Deal of 1/28/2020. Oddly, the last time my Dad had texted me was 1/28/2019, and he texted me today to ask me to come to Thanksgiving dinner. I gave more on that and trying to witness to him that is probably like most of you trying to witness to people who think that they are Christians. It can be really tough to witness to family.

I include some evangelism experiences I have had in the last few days, and try to give you some ideas for how you can do it. We really are to be making disciples up to the last moment we are raptured. It was really exciting to me to witness to an Iranian today because I had a Farsi Bible, and God showed me who to give it to. A lot of witnessing is having materials to give out, either Bibles or tracts. You can make your own or get them at Living Waters or on Amazon, but you MUST make sure that they include repentance. People need to see that they have broken the Law and are guilty in the courtroom of God that will send them to hell. Without the truth of the bad news, they don't have hearts ready for the Good News. Psalm 19:7 The Law is perfect for converting the soul.

You can take a Bible and have them read Revelation 21:8 or 1 Corinthians 6 or Galatians 5. I didn't mention it in the video, but I just asked my Dad if he had ever heard the voice of God which he said he hadn't. Every true Christian has heard God's voice. How can I say that? John 10. Please read John 9 and 10 if you haven't, and keep reading until you begin to hear. We can pray where we are doing all the talking, but when we read the Bible daily, He speaks to us, and then He will also speak to you in prayer to do what He tells you to do. It is a personal relationship with the living Jesus, not religion.

Matthew 22 Jesus spoke to them again in parables, saying, 2 “The kingdom of heaven may be compared to a king who gave a wedding feast for his son. 3 And he sent his servants to call those who had [previously] been invited to the wedding feast, but they refused to come. 4 Then he sent out some other servants, saying, ‘Tell those who have been invited, “Look, I have prepared my dinner; my oxen and fattened calves are butchered and everything is ready; come to the wedding feast.”’ 5 But they paid no attention [they disregarded the invitation, treating it with contempt] and went away, one to his farm, another to his business. 6 The rest [of the invited guests] seized his servants and mistreated them [insulting and humiliating them] and killed them. 7 The king was enraged [when he heard this], and sent his soldiers and destroyed those murderers and burned their city. 8 Then he said to his servants, ‘The wedding [feast] is ready, but those who were invited were not worthy. 9 So go to the main highways that lead out of the city, and invite to the wedding feast as many as you find.’ 10 Those servants went out into the streets and gathered together all the people they could find, both bad and good; so the wedding hall was filled with dinner guests [sitting at the banquet table].

11 “But when the king came in to see the dinner guests, he saw a man there who was not dressed [appropriately] in wedding clothes, 12 and he said, ‘Friend, how did you come in here without wearing the wedding clothes [that were provided for you]?’ And the man was speechless and without excuse. 13 Then the king said to the attendants, ‘Tie him hand and foot, and throw him into the darkness outside; in that place there will be weeping [over sorrow and pain] and grinding of teeth [over distress and anger].’ 14 For many are called (summoned), but few are chosen.”

Galatians 5:19 Now the practices of the sinful nature are clearly evident: they are sexual immorality, impurity, sensuality (irresponsibility, lack of self-control), 20 idolatry, sorcery, hostility, strife, jealousy, fits of anger, disputes, dissensions, factions [that promote heresies], 21 envy, drunkenness, riotous behavior, and other things like these. I warn you beforehand, just as I did previously, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God. 22 But the fruit of the Spirit [the result of His presence within us] is love [unselfish concern for others], joy, peace, patience [not the ability to wait, but how we act while waiting], kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, self-control. Against such things there is no law. 24 And those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the sinful nature together with its passions and appetites.

25 If we [claim to] live by the [Holy] Spirit, we must also walk by the Spirit [with personal integrity, godly character, and moral courage—our conduct empowered by the Holy Spirit].
