HOME INVADER SUFFERS MULTIPLE GUNSHOT WOUNDS

ADAIR COUNTY, Iowa — A suspected intruder has been hospitalized with multiple gunshot wounds after police say the person broke into an Iowa home early Thursday morning.

Prior to the shooting, Adair County deputies found an abandoned stolen vehicle not far from the residence.

The vehicle was located by a deputy in the median of Interstate 80 near the Adair rest areas. It was determined the vehicle had been reported stolen to the Omaha Police Department in Nebraska, according to the Adair County Sheriff's Office.
