CoinCenter Files Lawsuit Against US Treasury and IRS! Alleging Tax Reporting Provision is Unlawful!

Coin Center located in Washington, DC has filed a federal district court complaint against the Treasury Department and the Internal Revenue Service on Friday. The complaint says that a cryptocurrency tax-reporting obligation in an infrastructure bill is unlawful. Individuals and corporations receiving $10,000 or more in cryptocurrency would be required to declare to the government not just the name of the person who provided them the cash, but also that person's date of birth and Social Security number.
