In this video, we take a dive into Morning Brew, a nearly-bootstrapped media company (they’ve raised less than $1 million). Morning Brew's core product is a daily newsletter summarizing the biggest business stories into digestible chunks. The newsletter arrives every morning before 730a and is opened by more than 1 million readers.

From that primary tentpole, the company has begun to spin out sub-brands that deepen their relationship with their audience, diversify the company’s revenue streams, and build a mini media empire.

With 5 million podcast downloads, nearly 3 million newsletter subscribers, and over $20 million in annual revenue, they are already in the upper echelon of all media entities. At the end of the video, we’ll discuss how leaning into being an ensemble brand will take them to greater heights.
