Removing the dash and repairing seats on the 2015 Toyota RAV4 rebuild project

It is time to pull the dash out of the Rav4 to fix those darn heater doors. While we have everything apart it is a good time to clean everything and fix the tears in the seats. So you can also learn about seat cover replacement in this video. There are lots of parts and wires that like to put up a fight but it is really not as bad as some dashes I have pulled. Using lots of shortcuts really helps to make this job a little more manageable. For those that read the description and also wondered if I consult manuals before attempting a job like this, the answer is," no." I figure it out as I go, reading the manual doesn't give you shortcuts, it has you remove unnecessary parts and not always in the best order. So while other techs are still reading, I am half way though the dash removal. After you have removed a few hundred dashboards, you learn that they are all pretty similar, there are no surprises anymore, the magic is gone.... :( You don't always plan on things like this in rebuilds but you have to accept that there will always be more work than you planned.
