Reckless: US-Backed Thai Mobs Remove Barriers at Army Base

It was an extremely dangerous provocation that could have potentially led to deadly consequences.

A similar stunt was tried in 2010 by red shirt leaders at the same military base to get their followers shot and escalate the crisis. It didn't work, but it was followed by the use of "black shirts" to kill both protesters and soldiers on April 10, 2010 to trigger a much wider crisis.

Dangerous episode of history repeating itself.
