Parable of The Revealed Light

Servant.podcast
Parable of the Sower and the Seed demonstrates that a Christian cannot be content with a life surrounded by thorns and weeds. Each of us begins there, concealing our light. Nevertheless, avoid remaining a closet Christian or a self-centered one. We spend too much time as a culture on the wrong things, including the wrong spiritual matters. There is a consequence to ignoring our responsibilities in this area. In verses 17 and 18, Jesus issues a warning to those who disregard this message. Luke 8:17-18 "There is nothing hidden that will not become apparent, and nothing secret that will not be revealed." Therefore, be mindful of how you listen, because whoever has will receive more, and whoever does not have, even what he believes he has, will lose it. If we bury our witness, fail to bear fruit, or remain a closet or self-centered Christian, Jesus warns that there will be no secrets on the day when everything is revealed. Unbelievers' true nature will be revealed, and Christians' work will be evaluated. We cannot begin to comprehend eternity because we live in an age where everything has a beginning and an end. When we pass beyond this life, we enter a time and place where we are confronted by eternity. There will be no transitions or deaths. Just endless time. Jesus says our future experiences will depend on what we accomplish in the coming decades.

A Servant Is Humble
Do nothing from selfish ambition or conceit, but in humility count others more significant than yourselves. Let each of you look not only to his own interests, but also to the interests of others. Have this mind among yourselves, which is yours in Christ Jesus, who, though he was in the form of God, did not count equality with God a thing to be grasped, but emptied himself, by taking the form of a servant, being born in the likeness of men. And being found in human form, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross. (Philippians 2:3-8)
