Neal Stephenson Is Creating A Free Metaverse Called Lamina1!

Lamina1 is a blockchain designed specifically for the creation of an open metaverse. This week, Lamina1 was unveiled at the Consensus conference in Austin, Texas. Stephenson stated that when he imagined the metaverse in Snow Crash, he did not envision Web3. The launch team is currently in the early phases of planning, fundraising, and staffing. It just completed a friends-and-family fundraising round and plans to launch a beta version in the fall.
