RENAE BAKER is an author, speaker, workshop leader, acting and directing coach, voice over artist, singer, actor and – as her carolers call her – “CAROL BOSS.” She is the author of the Amazon best-selling book, Defeating Scrooge – How to Harness the Power of Christmas Carols to Revive Your Spirit Any Time of Year, and narrator of the audio book of the same title. Renae delivered a TEDx talk titled, “Can Caroling Lead to World Peace?” (bit.ly/watchRenaeBakerTEDx). Her “Spirit Saver” live workshops and online program were all born of her body of work being the founder/director of “I S.M.I.L.E. in New York Productions, LLC,” a company of Broadway holiday carolers, since 1997. Renae and her carolers have been featured on many radio and television stations. Renae is a professional actor, singer, voice-over artist, public speaker and theatrical coach to performers and directors as well. Renae has coached countless actors for their auditions which have landed them roles in Broadway, film and television productions. She leads master classes, provides private, one-on-one coaching, and is available for Skype or FaceTime coaching when meeting in person isn’t possible. Renae is often called upon by directors of film, documentaries, tv, radio or podcast projects, when additional help working with actors is needed.
