Sugar is really bad. IMHO and actually doctors, it's cancer bad. Cancer thrives on sugar. They even use radioactive sugar to detect cancer. Cancer can be put in remission and possibly even reversed by eliminating all sugar from the diet. But sugar is also 'type 2 diabetes bad' and 'weight gain bad' with all the illness that accompanies type 2 diabetes and weight gain. Yes, sugar is really that bad.

Sugar isn't necessary -- glucose is made in our bodies as needed through a process known as gluconeogenesis in our livers.

You can read more about the scope of negative effects sugar has on health from an actual doctor here: Dr. Jason Fung's Cancer Code -- https://amzn.to/2YusFoR

The Keto (Ketogenic) Diet and the Carnivore Diet are ideal diets for avoiding sugar and its cousin starch (also broken down as sugar).
