This is keto meal idea #10 for eating 20 grams of carbs in a day on the keto diet. I show that eating 1 1/2 cups of fried tomatoes plus 1 cup of sauteed mushrooms, and 1/2 cup of sauteed onions equals 20 grams of carbs. Adding a steak or any meat (unprocessed) adds no additional carbs because meat has no carbs.

On the ketogenic diet, it is recommended to eat 20 grams of carbs or less a day to attain and maintain ketosis (the desired fat-burning state on keto). Many have reported that eating this way brings many health benefits including weight loss.
